Sophie Smart

Sophie studied architecture at the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2023 with a first-class degree. Projects included an antiques flea market in Buenos Aires that explored the flow of people around the colonnaded structure, and a craft education centre in Salford, highlighting the reduction in teaching crafts as part of the curriculum.

Sophie joined us in September 2023 and has been part of the team working on Jamyang Buddhist Centre. Her sketches and collages have also made excellent contributions to other projects, including the boarding house at Rikkyo and competition entries.
