Jolanta Piotrowska

Architectural Assistant

After studying architecture in Poland, Jola moved to London in 2015 to undertake a BArch at the Bartlett. Following this she joined Asif Khan as a Part 1 student, working on a cultural building in Kazakhstan and an exhibition at the Munich Design Museum. In 2020 she returned to the Bartlett to undertake an MArch in architecture, which included a stint as a postgrad teaching assistant.

Jola takes an interest in communities and has worked on designs for community self-build projects. In 2020 her Dragonfly Shed (designed in collaboration with Nyima Murry) won first place in a competition organised by Grizedale Arts and was built in the Lake District by an all-female building crew - Jola gained valuable experience working directly with carpenters and builders.

In 2022, Jola worked for 2XMA on a house renovation and art gallery, before joining us in April 2023 to work on the new boys’ boarding house at Rikkyo School.
