CFCE Consent for Precincts Project

We are pleased to announce that the Precincts Project for the King's School has received consent from the Cathedrals Fabric Commission for England (CFCE).

The CFCE oversees work to cathedrals in England; since our project involves refurbishment of existing buildings and a new building within the precincts of Canterbury Cathedral, it lies within their area of interest. Naturally, the site is highly sensitive: it is a World Heritage Site and designated Area of Archaeological Importance, and contains a Scheduled Ancient Monument. To ensure our design responds appropriately to the delicate context we have regularly met with Historic England, the CFCE and Canterbury Cathedral's own Fabric Advisory Committee, and are delighted to have their approval to continue.
